Despite being relatively great performance-wise, Macbook computers are still prone to certain issues. It also does not help when an owner neglects to take proper care of their laptop, which results in even more significant problems.

Problem #1 – Accountsd Asking for Login Keychain
Macbook has a built-in application that stores passwords and other account information. The Keychain Access tool makes it easier to use the computer since it reduces the number of passwords you need to enter to access Macbook’s applications.
Besides Keychain Access, there is also accountsd framework, known as an iCloud keychain. It compliments Keychain Access by providing Mac apps access to relevant usernames and passwords.
You may encounter a message in which accountsd wants to use the login keychain. The error occurs when the keychain is not synced with an app or service.
To fix the problem, launch Keychain Access and right-click on the “login” module. Pick “Change Settings for Keychain login,” which is available in the drop-down menu. A new window will appear. Here, untick the boxes next to “Lock after” and “Lock when sleeping.” Save the changes and restart the Macbook. The problem should disappear.
Problem #2 – Spinning Beach Ball
The persistent spinning beach ball that tends to appear now and then can become annoying really quickly. If you have to wait for it to load each time you open an application, it means that something is wrong with the Macbook.
The most common solutions to this problem would be the following:
- freeing up drive space
- closing background applications
- checking for potential malware
- restarting the laptop regularly
- decluttering the desktop
Problem #3 – Wi-Fi Interferences
If calling your ISP does not solve the internet connection problems, something may be wrong on your end.
It is recommended to get an ethernet cable instead of connecting to a wireless connection. However, not all Macbook owners can make such an adjustment, and they are stuck with Wi-Fi.
In case restarting the computer does not help, try disconnecting from a network and reconnecting to it again.
Third-party peripherals like microwaves and wireless printers are also known to cause interference problems by sending waves. Thus, using the Macbook away from these devices might improve the internet connection.
Problem #4 – Loud Fan Noise and Overheating
Too much dust inside the Mac is the most common cause of overheating and loud internal fan noise. If you are reluctant to take the laptop apart and clean the filth inside yourself, look for services that can do the work for you. Be it an individual or a computer service store, you will need to pay, but people with experience will do a better job cleaning the Macbook.
Running resource-heavy applications like video games also cause internal fans to overwork. It may be that your hardware cannot keep up with the demands of an application, and putting a strain on the system is not worth it.
Problem #5 – Lackluster Internet Browser Performance
A lacklustre internet browser performance could be the result of more than just the computer. Some people go overboard and install too many extensions without considering how these extensions slow down the browser.
Too much cache and multiple open tabs are not helping either. Sticking to only one browser tab when possible and limiting extensions is a good piece of advice to follow. Also, get in the habit of removing the browser cache at least once every month.
Problem #6 – Flickering Screen
Regular restarts should deal with the flickering screen problem. However, if the issue becomes too persistent, you will need to make some adjustments.
The likeliest reason why this is happening in the first place is probably the lack of compatibility between the OS and the GPU.
If you have started to experience a flickering screen after installing the most recent operating system update, switch back to the previous OS version and wait for a hotfix. It may take a while, but if using a Macbook becomes too much of a chore because the screen continues to flicker non-stop, you have no other option but to wait.
Problem #7 – Full Hard Drive
Not having enough free space on the hard drive causes the Macbook to slow down significantly. Macs are not the best when it comes to total available storage, so it is easy to end up with a full hard drive.
Some of the ways to make more free storage would be deleting old applications and downloads. Transferring data to external storage devices and clouds is also worth a shout. Lastly, instead of keeping large media files on the Macbook, why not use streaming platforms more often?
