After that, the search bar comes in the dock, above or below the icons. You can also hide dock in the Pixel 2 launcher.
Add Any Widget to Nova Launcher Dock

Tap and hold the dock search widget, and a drop-down menu arrives. Click on Replace and a menu of possible 4×1 widgets appears. Select widget of your choice to move dock the Google search widget. The features are easier for the Google Chrome users as they can instantly put the Chrome search widget in the dock. It is a way shortcut for the Chrome.
