Chinese smartwatch brand Huami has recently launched its Amazefit Neo. The watch resembles much like the classic Casio digital watch. However, it seems that the company is planning to unveil the successor to its Amazfit GTR and Amazfit GTS which was launched last year. Recently, the Amazfit GTR 2 got certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).
The listing reveals the Amazfit GTR 2 has the model number “A1952” and the certification was published on September 11. It includes connectivity options such as Bluetooth 5.0.
Last month, Geekdoing found references to the Amazfit GTR 2 and said that the device will be codenamed “Lisbon”. Besides, Xiaomiadictos also revealed that the Amazfit GTS 2 may come circular dial, unlike its predecessor which came in a rectangular pattern. Additionally, we can expect features such as sports modes, an heart rate sensor, a SpO2 monitor, built-in smart assistant, and NFC. The device might also support Xiao AI (Chinese variant) and Amazon’s Alexa (Global).
Apart from that, the Amazfit Smart Scale has already been certified by the Bluetooth SIG. However, certification for the Amazfit GTS 2 is yet to surface. Judging by the certifications, we expect an imminent launch and wait for an official confirmation from the company’s end.
