A Russian company namely ElcomSoft exposed this news. They told that every iPhone has a special feature of storing the call logs in iClouds. They said that when an individual calls anyone it is mechanically recorded in iCloud and if a user of Apple iPhone can want’s to get rid of it they can’t.
The detail of call logs consists of call length, numbers, and dates. ElcomSoft is a company which looks after the computer security programs. The main motive of the company is to provide password, iPhone hacking tools and system recovery software. CEO of Elcomsoft Vlatamir Katalov, said you cannot keep your call log details as a secret from the request of government. There is only one way to do this by deactivating iCloud Drive.
Apple company has to keep a record of every iPhone and iPad users because for the law enforcement agency (LEA). These records help the special, local, or state police, federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for tracing the criminals.
According to a report, this information was a bit late to FBI. In the terror attack of San Bernardino planned by Rizwan Farook. The FBI asked the apple company to give the call details of Rizwan Farook’s iPhone 5c. But Apple Company refused to give and said “they have to keep the users privacy and security of the customer”. Till then the FBI didn’t came to know about the feature of the iPhone. But this privacy came to an end when this features and details were leaked by the Russian company ElcomSoft.
