OnePlus 9 Pro

OnePlus unveiled its OnePlus 9 series smartphone back in March 2021. The cheapest device from the new lineup was the OnePlus 9R, and it was an improved OnePlus 8T with few minor changes. The main change includes the difference in chipset, design, and material used for building the device. It was cheap because it doesn’t have a partnership with Hasselblad, unlike the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The device features suitable hardware, but it doesn’t result in output. We can see that the output during lowlight is flawed from the smartphone. To solve this, one needs to use Google Camera aKa Gcam on their new device. We are here with the best Gcam for your device. But let us look into the specifications of the device.

OnePlus 9R Specifications

The OnePlus 9R sports a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and comes with a Full HD+ resolution. Apart from this, it supports HDR10+ tech, a screen-to-body ratio of 86.8%, and gets protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Underneath, it sports the Snapdragon 870 chipset (built on 7nm), which is an overclocked Snapdragon 865 with some improvements. On the GPU side, it packs the Adreno 650 GPU. The chipset pairs with 8 & 12GB of RAM and 128 & 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Coming to the software front, it runs on OxygenOS 11.3.3 based on Android 11. The device doesn’t get IP resistance and also doesn’t have any sort of splash protection. Interestingly, the device has an aluminum frame, while we saw a plastic frame on the regular OnePlus 9, which is more expensive than this.

On the optics front, the OnePlus 9R has four cameras to the rear and a single unit to the front. The setup has a primary 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with an aperture value of f/1.7, PDAF, and OIS. The sensor is followed by a 16MP ultra wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a field of view of 123 degrees. Finally, it has a 5MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture value and a 2MP monochrome sensor with the same aperture value. The device can shoot only videos up to 4K and has Dual-LED flash for better photography at night. To the front, the phone has the 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor with an aperture value of f/2.4. Sadly, the device only can shoot 1080p videos, but it has EIS. All this is backed by a 4500 mAh battery, which supports a 65W wired charging tech. Even though it has a glass back, it doesn’t get Wireless charging tech.

Best Gcam for OnePlus 9R

Google Camera is the camera application of Pixel smartphones which Google develops for its devices. It is also known as Gcam and is popular among Android smartphone users. It was released in 2014 and has evolved a long way, and needs Camera2Api to work on devices. These Gcams come with support for various features like Astrophotography mode, better night sight mode than Stock Camera, HDR+, Timelapse, portrait mode, etc. Apart from better quality, Gcam also provides accurate colours like which see through naked eyes. There are different versions of Gcam like Gcam 8.1 developed by Arnova8G2 and BSG and Gcam 7.3.
