A few days before, Huawei announced its new foldable smartphone, the new Huawei Mate X2. The device has been launched with exciting specifications, and it has two gorgeous 90Hz AMOLED displays. Huawei Mate X2 Specifications

The new Huawei Mate X2 features a large 8-inch OLED with a refresh rate of 90Hz, and obviously, it is a foldable unit. While digging more into the display specifications, it has a resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels, a pixel density of 413 PPI, and a screen to body ratio of 87.3 per cent. The smaller display aKa the cover display is of smaller 6.45 inch OLED screen with the same refresh rate. But the pixel density is 456 PPI and a smaller resolution of 1160 x 2700 pixels.

It sports the Kirin 9000 5G chipset underneath the device, which is built on 5nm. The chipset has four Cortex A77 cores and A55 cores. On the GPU side, it came with the Mali-G78 MP24. It runs on EMUI 11 on top of Android 11 without Google Mobile Services on the software front. Although it’s a foldable device, Huawei hasn’t compromised with the camera specifications. The primary sensor is a custom-made 50MP sensor from Sony with Laser AF, Omnidirectional PDAF, and OIS. 

Other specifications

Other cameras include a 12MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The other sensor is an 8MP periscope telephoto sensor with PDAF, OIS, and 10x optical zoom. Finally, it has an ultrawide sensor which has a 16MP sensor. Upfront, it has a 16MP sensor with an f/2,0 aperture value. It is backed by a 4500 mAh battery with support for 55W fast charging tech. Talking about dimensions, it has a size of 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2 mm when unfolded and 161.8 x 74.6 x 14.7 mm after folding. However, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is available in different colors like Black, White, Light Blue, and Rose Gold.

Talking about the storage side, it has 8GB of RAM and 256 & 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. And it has all the necessary sensors which a smartphone requires. The pricing of the device starts at CNY 18,000 (approximately ₹2,02,827 or $2,789.)
