Back in Q4 of 2020, OPPO launched a new device in its A-series. The new device is OPPO A53 which is a successor to the old OPPO A52. The device was launched in December 2020 and is priced at CNY 1,299, which is definitely cheap for a 5G device. We need more devices like these. The main changes are the new chipset and display. OPPO has also included a couple of new wallpapers, which we will come into a bit. But first, let us look into the specifications of the new device.

OPPO A53 Specifications
The new OPPO A53 features a 6.5 inches LTPS IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution. It follows the latest trend, i.e. it has a refresh rate of 90Hz and 480 nits of brightness. The display has a small cutout to the left. Underneath the new OPPO device, it has the Dimensity 720 5G SoC and is built on the 7nm process. But sadly, the device runs on old Android 10, which is based on Color OS 7.2. It comes with 4 and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and is based on UFS 2.1. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock.
On the optics side, the new OPPO A53 sports a triple camera setup. But it is a triple camera unit without any exciting specifications. It started with a primary 16MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture value followed by two 2MP sensors: macro & depth sensors with an aperture value of f/2.4. Finally, to the front, it has an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture value. All this is backed by a 4040mAh battery which only supports 10W charging tech.
