Display and Design
The Forerunner 55 boasts a colour screen with a density of 208 x 208 pixels, like the Garmin Forerunner 45 series. The Garmin Forerunner 55 does not have a touchscreen, so you must use the buttons for navigation. Both the watches offer better display visibility even in bright conditions, providing an advantage for active outdoor enthusiasts.
Even though it is an exact match in terms of design, the Forerunner 55 looks like the Forerunner 245. It comes with a 20mm silicone strap to secure it to the hands.

The Garmin Forerunner 55 is primarily designed for runners. The in-built GPS, along with Garmin PacePro, gives you more accurate insights into your pace, speed, and other important running metrics.
The new Forerunner 55 features cadence alerts, a measurement of steps per minute, which is not available on the Forerunner 45. Other key features that make this smartwatch suitable for outdoor activities are the daily workout suggestions, recovery advisor, and improved body battery.
