After a wait for over a month, Xiaomi is finally unveiling the Global MIUI 12 ROM for devices outside China. The Global MIUI 12 ROM will feature a few different features than its Chinese counterpart. According to the MI Community page, the launch event will be live-streamed across different social media networks on May 19, starting at 20:00 (GMT +8).

Global MIUI 12 announcement came after the press note from Max Ma, General Manager of Xiaomi Global Internet Business was published in its community. Later, Xiaomi India Vice President, Manu Kuma Jain also tweeted a link to the live stream of tomorrow’s event. The MIUI 12 is finally coming to India, and the users can watch the live stream at 5:30 PM (GMT +8) on Xiaomi’s YouTube channel.
MIUI 12 features various improvements and advancements over its predecessor. IT comes with new live wallpapers inspired by natural elements and objects. The Always-on-Display is also a part of the latest MIUI. The new update is home to various AI-based features from battery consumption to tracking physical activities. Thanks to the “AI motion behavior perception algorithm” that allows us to easily track different physical activities like running, cycling, walking, etc.
