Pixel 3 design by Google: Google has been trying to make inroads into the smartphone market holding hands of the Pixel series for the last 2 years. But as yet it has never posed a challenge to leading smartphone selling companies like Samsung and Apple. The scenario could be expected to change with Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL if the rumors are to be believed.
Google has unwittingly exposed its Pixel 3 plans through the new Android P public beta. But if dug deeper, one can observe that Android P reveals the new Pixel 3 design in its user interface. Android P shows only four status bar notifications which cannot be changed thereby leaving a large wasted empty space between battery indicators on right and clock on the left.

There are lots of speculations about the design and phone specifications of Pixel 3. Firstly, it is assumed to have a notch because Android P provides notch support. Secondly, according to Google trend, usually Android generational betas are the precursors for the next generation pixels. Thirdly, if the 4 icon limit is looked at closely, one can see that it doesn’t fit most of existing Android phones with small notches and space is still wasted. This makes it believable that Google may be testing Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3 design.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL has excellent camera quality with very easy access to Google Assistant. It is even considered as one of the best smartphones ever designed.
Google currently has its own hardware division after acquiring HTC smartphone team and no longer have to rely on third party vendors to make their smartphones. Pixel 3 is to be the first product after Google officially took over HTC. Obviously, Pixel 3 as a result is thought to have front facing speakers and Active Edge feature.
A lower priced version of Pixel 3 may be available to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S models and Apple’s iPhones. It may contain the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the RAM is expected to be increased to 6GB but the basic design of Pixel models will be same as rumoured with a metal body with a sleek design and with dual camera at the back.
The release date will be sometime in October 2018 if the date of launch of other Pixel models are kept in mind. Look forward to the official announcement by Google!
