A day before yesterday, i.e. on May 30, Honor unveiled a couple of smartphones under its number series in China. These smartphones are Honor 70, Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro+. The devices are priced between 2699 and 4599 Yuan. The smartphones are currently available for pre-orders. It will be available for sale in the following days.

Honor 70 Pro and 70 Pro+ Specifications!

The Honor 70 Pro / 70 Pro+ smartphones feature a curved 6.78 inches OLED screen with a Quad-HD resolution. The screen offers a high-frequency PMW dimming of 1920Hz and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a 1.07 billion colour display and gets certification by the HDR Vivid World Ultra HD Video Industry Alliance. The display can provide a better visual experience when watching the adapted HDR Vivid film source.

Honor 70 Pro sports the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor in terms of performance. In contrast, the Honor 70 Pro+ features the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. A 4500 mAh battery backs both smartphones. The battery supports 100W super-fast charging tech. It can be used to charge the device up to 60% in 15 minutes and can be fully charged in just 30 minutes. Further, both the Honor 70 Pro and 70 Pro+ features dual speakers.

The pricing of Honor 70 Pro starts at 3699 Yuan for the base variant with 8GB + 256GB storage. At the same time, 3999 Yuan for 12GB + 256GB variant and 4399 Yuan for the top-end variant with 12GB + 512GB. While the Honor 70 Pro+ starts with a price tag of 4299 Yuan for the base variant with 8GB + 256GB. It goes all the way up to 4599 Yuan for the top-end variant with 12GB + 256G.

The Honor 70 Pro comes in four colour options. These are Streamer Crystal, Mo Yuqing, Mist Sands, and Bright Black. In contrast, the Honor 70 Pro+ comes in three colour options. These are Mist Sands, Moyu Green, and Bright Black.

The standard Honor 70 adopts a symmetrical hyperboloid design. It gets a 58-degree curvature of the screen and back cover. The device features a 6.67 inches OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz. Underneath, the device sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus processor. The smartphone weighs around 178g and has a thickness of 7.91mm. It has a large 4800 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging tech. The device’s pricing starts at 2699 Yuan for the base variant with 8GB and 256GB. It goes up to 2999 Yuan for the 12GB & 256GB variant and 3399 Yuan for the top-end variant with 12GB & 512GB.

More about the optics of the Honor 70 Series! 

In terms of imaging, the Honor 70 series sports the HONOR Image Engine computing imaging platform for the first time. The whole series features a primary 54MP Sony IMX IMX800 sensor. It has a sensor size of 1/1.49-inch and is an outsole sensor. The same has a four-in-one 2.0μm equivalent pixel size. The primary sensor pairs with a secondary 50MP super wide-angle macro sensor. The name suggests that it is a two-in-one sensor and supports wide-angle and macro modes. On the front, it features a 50MP AI super-sensing sensor. However, the Honor 70 gets a lower 32MP front camera. In addition, both the Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro+ features an 8MP telephoto lens. It supports OIS optical image stabilization. Further, it also offers 3x optical zoom and digital zoom up to 30x.

In addition, the Honor 70 series brings a new Vlog shooting function mode. The protagonist’s position in the picture is calculated in real-time through the AI portrait centring algorithm. And the portrait is intelligently focused and centred. If the protagonist is out of the image or blocked, it only takes 30 milliseconds to quickly re-identify the portrait after returning to the screen. In Vlog mode, the protagonist character can be freely switched. If one shoots in the protagonist mode, it will output two high-definition video images simultaneously. Both the protagonist image and the panorama image support beauty and anti-shake modes.

The Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro + debut Honor Mobile Gaming GPU Super Rendering Technology. It will help its users to enjoy stable frame rates.
