Honor held the Honor Magic 6 & Magic 6 Pro flagship new product and MagicOS 8.0 release conference on January 10-11. At this conference, the Magic6, a super high-end flagship model that has been eagerly anticipated by countless technology fans, was launched.

According to the understanding, the camera module of the Honor Magic6 series is derived from the shape of the “jade cylinder” in the Sanxingdui civilization, with the inner circle symbolizing the sky and the outer square symbolizing the earth, breaking the single aesthetics of “circle”; the unique arrangement of the camera continues the family-style “star wheel triple camera” design. The CMF design of the whole machine also breaks through thinking, and the magnificent wonders that are representative of the Chinese land are displayed on the phone through innovative processes, reflecting the vitality of nature.

In addition, the Honor Magic6 series adopts a full-symmetric equal-depth micro-curved design. The micro-curve lies between the straight screen and the traditional curved screen. It can retain the advantages of the curved screen and provide the precise touch of the straight screen, perfectly solving the annoying mistouch problem, and can be said to find the “golden turning point” between the two. The middle frame and back panel of the new machine have been designed with radii, and the front and rear panels extend inward around the middle frame, with excellent hand feel and texture.

The Honor Magic6 series not only has outstanding performance in appearance, but also has strong hardware configuration. The new machine uses the customized 50-megapixel, super dynamic eagle eye main camera H9000 from OmniVision, which is the current industry’s highest dynamic range sensor. It can adapt to the shooting environment under different brightness and contrast conditions, and can sense light and dark, and is not afraid of backlit shooting. The Honor Magic6 series equipped with this super dynamic HDR large-bottom main camera can achieve full-link coverage from camera preview to final output, and the dynamic range is increased by 800%.

Not only that, the Honor Magic6 Pro is the industry’s first 1.8 billion pixel periscope telephoto, equipped with the industry’s largest 1/1.49-inch telephoto large-bottom sensor, supports 16-in-1 equivalent to 2.24μm super large pixels, and F2.6 super large aperture, which can achieve clearer telephoto image shooting, and super sensitive telephoto night scene experience.

On the screen, the Honor Magic6 uses a 6.78-inch full-symmetric equal-depth micro-curved screen, supporting a resolution of 2800×1264; the Honor Magic6 Pro uses a 6.8-inch floating streamlined four-curved screen, supporting a resolution of 2800×1280. Both screens support LTPO 1~120Hz dynamic adjustment, HDR10+ and 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut.

In terms of core configuration, the Honor Magic6 series is equipped with Qualcomm’s third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship chip, which uses TSMC’s 4nm process. Compared to the second-generation Snapdragon 8, the CPU’s maximum frequency is increased to 3.3GHz, the performance is increased by 30%, and the energy efficiency is increased by 20%; the GPU performance is increased by 25%, the energy efficiency is increased by 25%, and the AI performance is increased by 98%, and the energy efficiency is increased by 40%. It can bring users top image features, excellent gaming experience, and professional-quality audio-visual entertainment experience. The series also adopts a new super-wide-area liquid cooling design, which can allow the performance to be fully released.

In terms of battery life, the Honor Magic6 series is equipped with the second-generation Qinghai Lake battery, which uses a new silicon-carbon negative electrode material, a comprehensively upgraded electrochemical system, plus the self-developed energy efficiency enhancement chip E1 and the optimization of the Dujiangyan power management system. Even in a low-temperature environment of minus 20℃, it can be used for more than ten hours. The Magic6 is equipped with a 5450mAh battery, and the Honor Magic6 Pro is equipped with a 5600mAh battery.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the Honor Magic6 Pro is equipped with the Hongyan satellite communication, which supports two-way voice and point-to-point short message functions, becoming the only two mobile phone brands and terminal models on the market that support satellite communication functions.
