Today was a big day for Honor. It not only released its first AMD-powered MagicBooks and the Honor Smart Screen X1 but also brought the Honor Tab 6 and Tab X6 two new tablets. They come with SMIC’s Kirin 710A processor, and the starting price is RMB 1,099 ($157).
As for the key features, the Honor Tab 6 sports a 10.1-inch Full HD screen with a 1920×1200 resolution and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The overall thickness of the tablet is 7.5mm and it weighs 460 grams. So we can say this is quite portable and won’t make your bag heavier.
The manufacturer said that the Honor Tab 6 series comes with a newly upgraded HUAWEI Histen 6.1 sound effect. It also has large amplitude speakers with a 2.2cc large sound cavity, better low frequency effect, and more robust sound quality. The symmetrical design on both sides brings a three-dimensional immersive sound effect.
In terms of system, our protagonist runs a new MagicUI 3.1 system. It can boast of a full-scene acceleration engine, multiple kernel optimizations, and supports ‘Parallel Vision’ as well as Honor Magic-Pencil pens. The Honor Tab 6 series is also pre-installed with the ‘Huawei Education Center’ App and the ‘Kids Paradise’ App.
The Honor Tab X6 is the lightened variant of the model above. Its display resolution is 1200 x 800, which is lower than the Tab 6’s FHD screen. Also, the Tab X6 does not support a touch sensitive stylus.
The Honor Tab 6 is priced quite affordably. The starting price is 1299 yuan ($186), and the Honor Tab X6 (1200×800 resolution) starts at 1099 yuan ($157).
