bypass age restriction

YouTube, like most apps, sets restrictions on their contents. These restrictions helped them shape YouTube the way we see today. Even though having these restrictions are great, there are times when you need to access these restricted content for good. There will be situations like if not logged in you can’t view these restricted contents since YouTube assumes that you’re just a boy (or a girl). This guide will show you how to bypass YouTube Age Restriction, and yeah, you can do it in multiple ways.

Steps to bypass YouTube Age Restriction

As said earlier, you can do it in multiple ways. You can either use 3rd party services or, you can watch them by embedding these videos. We’ll start with the safest method. But wait, before you proceed we must warn you that this method is suited for watching videos on a PC. Will it work on a mobile? Of course, it will but still!…

Note: We don’t recommend children to watch age-restricted videos. You may proceed at your own risk by following the methods below.

Embed Restricted YouTube videos

If you’re like us, then you won’t like to use 3rd party Softwares. You can use this method to watch restricted videos and to embed YouTube videos onto your website. You can follow these steps to view/embed Restricted YouTube videos.

  • Open YouTube on your browser and search for a video. Click on the video, and you’ll the sad face from YouTube.
  • Don’t be sad. Click on the video URL in the address bar to edit it.
  • Select watch?v= from the URL and delete it. Add /embed/ in its place.
  • The URL will turn into an embeddable link, which doesn’t have any age restrictions.
  • Now press Enter to load the URL.

Using 3rd Party Softwares

In case you don’t mind using 3rd party Softwares you can use any of these. Even though they come with ads, most people choose these Softwares over the 1st method we discussed.

Using NSFW YouTube

  • Open YouTube on your browser and search for a video. Click on the video, and you’ll see a Content Warning screen asking you to log in.
  • Click on the video URL in the address bar to edit it.
  • Type in NSFW after www. (Or before youtube). It will replace the original URL from say, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABCD to https://www.nsfwyoutube.com/watch?v=ABCD.
  • Press Enter to load the video.
    Using Listen on Repeat
The method remains the same as above. Make these minor changes.
  • Type in repeat after youtube. It will replace the original URL from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABCD to https://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch?v=ABCD.
  • Press Enter to load the video.

YouTube is the most used video streaming service, and they are trusted by most for the restrictions on contents put by them. However, if you’re on a public network or afraid of risking your login credentials, then follow any of the above methods.
