What are Android 11 Power Button Toggles?

With this new Android 11 feature, users will be able to control their Smart Devices with the help of Power Button on their phone. While users press the Power Button to access the section where we see an option for Powering the Device Off or Rebooting it. Android 11 adds something called Power Button Toggles, which is triggered when users hold the power button of their phone.

But the problem with this feature is that this is restricted to a single app – Google Home. This means the users who don’t use the app will not be able to use this feature. So let us guide you through how users can change it from one app to another.

Note: Users will need a phone running Android 11 in order to tweak the Power Button.

Steps to Tweak Android 11 Power Button Toggles:

To Tweak Android 11 Power Button you need to follow these steps:

  1. Download the “Power Menu Controls” app mentioned above.
  2. Next, open the app and grant the required permissions.
(This is an important setting as it is required for the app to function)
  3. Users now need to add Controls to the Power Menu.
To do that, users need to long-press the power button to bring up Android’s power menu, then tap the three-dot menu button towards the top-right and select “Add Controls.” Users can also add other apps to this list by selecting the “Select Other Apps” menu down below.
  4. To enable all the settings, users just need to Switch to the new controls.

Doing that is easy as users just need to tap the text just underneath the three power options at the top of the menu. This will open a drop-down menu, where users select “Phone Settings” to see their new toggles.
