Huami is popularly known for its fitness bands and other wearable products. There are many different products available in different price segments from Huami. The company’s Vice President, posted on Weibo about the invention of new SpO2 measurement technology. It is using advanced AI algorithms to get more precision and detailed data while measuring the Blood SpO2 level.
The new sensor will be made official at the upcoming Huami AI innovation conference. Presently, the blood oxygen saturation sensor users diffused reflection via infrared signals to get the outputs. But the new sensor will improve the infrared receiving for enhanced accuracy.
We expect more details at the conference which will be held on June 15 in China.
It is not for the first time that Huami has evolved something. We have already seen the BioTracker PPG optical sensor on the AMazfit Mito health Watch which was last year. The watch is able to recognize ECG and PPG in real-time with the help of an improved sensor.
We believe innovation is not only taking place in the smartphone world, but the smart bands are also getting its attention in this smart world. We also expect some inside information about the upcoming Bands and other wearable devices from Huami at the AI innovation.
