Huawei is on a launching spree as it has unveiled a new MediaPad T8 tablet in Europe after the recent global launch of the MatePad 10.4-inch and Nova 7 smartphone series. The new tablet features an 8-inch display, MediaTek MT8768 processor, 2GB RAM, and much more. The new tablet is the younger sibling of MediaPad 10.4 and measures 199.7 x 121.7 x 8.55mm in size.

Huawei MediaPad T8 is carved out of metal-body and weighs over 210 grams. There’s an 8-inch LCD display with 800 x1200 pixels resolution and sporting 80% screen-to-body ratio. The tablet runs on MediaTek MT8768 SoC featuring an octa-core processor with four cores of Cortex-A53 at 2.0GHz and four cores of Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz. The graphics-intensive tasks will be well-taken care by its IMG G38320 650 GPU.
Huawei MediaPad T8 is available in two different storage variants of 2 GB RAM + 16GB and 2 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage. Moreover, the users can expand the storage via a microSD card slot. The new tablet features parental control mode and eye-comfort mode to safeguard children.
Mediapad T8 sports a 2-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture on the front for selfies and video calling. Whereas, a 5-megapixel lens is present on the rear without any LED flash. A 5000 mAh battery with 5W charging supporting 12 hours of video playback is present inside the tablet. The users will get WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 USB OTG, MicroUSB 2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack in connectivity. It runs on EMUI 1.0 based on Android 10.
It is available in Deepsea Blue color for 500 Romanian Leu which translates to ~$112. There’s no update regarding the availability in other regions.
