Huawei Y9a officially announced with MediaTek helio G80, 64MP quad camera, and 40W SuperCharge

Huawei has silently listed its latest Y series smartphone, Huawei Y9a on the official Huawei website. This phone reflects the same design as the recently released Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus in the Chinese market.

Huawei Y9a: Specification

The Huawei Y9a is powered by MediaTek G80 SoC and has 128GB of internal storage. The phone offers 8GB RAM for the Middle East and Africa, the Asia-Pacific area, and some countries in Middle Asia, while the rest of the markets will get a 6GB RAM variant. If needed, the storage can be further expanded via Huawei’s proprietary NM SD card. The device runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 (AOSP version).

Talking about its display, the device houses a 6.63-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD panel on the front with a 92% screen-to-body ratio without any notch or punch-hole. The device also features a motorized pop-up selfie camera which allows the device to attain a notch-less display.

Coming to the cameras, the Huawei Enjoy 9a flaunts a circular camera setup at the back with a 64 megapixels (f/1.8 aperture), 8 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) with 120-degree FoV, 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor. On the other hand, the front side has a 16MP (f/2.2) pop-up selfie camera.

The Huawei Y9a has a dependable 4300 mAh large battery and AI power-saving technology with 40W Huawei SuperCharge technology, which will let you charge up its battery efficiently, with nearly 70 percent in just 30 minutes.

Additionally, the device has a WiFi-802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, 4G network, BLE, SBC, AAC, Type-C, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS, AGPS, Glonass, BeiDou, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and dual SIM support.

The device measures 76.5 x 163.5 x 8.95 (mm) and weighs 197 grams.

Pricing and availability

The device will be available in three color variants – Space Silver, Sakura Pink, and Midnight Black. Although, the price of Huawei Y9a is not official yet.
