The Android 11 beta for OnePlus 8 Series is now available. So, what’s next, nothing we’ll flash the latest cutting-edge edition of the Android on our favorite OnePlus 8/8Pro. In order to install, follow the steps given below.
Issues with Android 11
Needless to say, Android 11 is in its early stage. So, bugs and instability are inevitable. The following known issues are present in the beta builds for OnePlus 8 Series. Do keep that in mind before upgrading. Also, all data will be wiped while flashing the build.
- Face unlock is unavailable
- Google Assistant (“OK Google”) does not work
- Video calling does not work
- Certain UI screens look less than desirableSome apps may not function as expected
- System stability issues
- Caution! More bugs definitely present which are unknown.
Moreover, there is a risk of BRICKING your phone, read the instructions carefully and be 100% sure of what you are doing. Please always backup your important data before flashing.
Important Instruction: Applicable only for the OnePlus 8 series, don’t try on previous OnePlus devices or any other devices. Make sure the battery level is above 30% and a minimum 3GB of storage space is available. The OnePlus 8 series carrier devices (TMO/VZW) aren’t compatible with the Developer Preview builds.

Steps to Install Android 11 on OnePlus 8 Series
1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server for your device model.
2. Copy the ROM upgrade package to the phone storage.
3. Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Click top right icon -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
5. Update successful.
Downgrade OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro to Android 10
You may also downgrade to the stable Android 10 channel by flashing the builds provided below using the same Local OTA updater method. Download the rollback package from the link given below.

Note: This upgrade method will erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first.
1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
2. Copy the Rollback package to the phone storage.
3. Do the same thing that we did to flash the Android 11, but this time choose the Rollback package. Go to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Click top-right icon -> Local upgrade -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
5. Rollback to Android 10 successful.
