IQOO 5 and 5 Pro with Snapdragon 865 launched in China, pricing starts 3998 Yuan(~$575)

In China, the iQOO has launched its iQOO 5 and 5 Pro. The main highlights of the iQOO 5 series is that both the phones are powered by a Snapdragon 865 SoC and a liquid cooling system. iQOO 5 and 5 Pro pre-orders start in China and it will be start shipping from 24th August 2020.

Both the phones are packed with almost identical specifications. iQOO 5 series features a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint sensor. Both the variants of iQOO 5 have a 1300 nits brightness and HDR10+ support. Although, iQOO 5 is packed with a flat display and the Pro variant has a curved display.

Both the iQOO 5 series phones are powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC along with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The phones are having a triple camera setup at the back with Samsung GN1 50MP camera as the primary lens +13MP ultrawide camera sensor + 13MP Telephoto camera sensor. On the front side, there is a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats. iQOO 5 supports EIS and 20x digital Zoom, whereas iQOO 5 Pro supports OIS, 5x Optical Zoom, 60x Hybrid zoom, and 8K video recording.

iQOO 5 comes with 4500 mAh battery with 55W fast charging and on the other hand iQOO 5 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery with 120W superfast charging. In other connectivity options, the phone has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, X-axis linear motor, USB-C, stereo speakers with the built-in audio chip, facial recognition, and Hi-Res audio support. iQOO 5 comes in two color option i.e. Star Trace and Hao Ying colors. Whereas iQOO 5 Pro also comes in two color options i.e. Track Version and Legendary Edition Colors.

• 12GB RAM + 128GB internal storage is priced at 4,298 Yuan (~$619)
• 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage is priced at 4,598 Yuan (~$662)

iQOO 5 Pro

• 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage is priced at 4,998 Yuan (~$720)
• 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage is priced at 5,498 Yuan (~$792)

However, there is still no official information about the launch of the iQOO 5 Series in any other country. But, we think the company will soon launch these phones in other countries.
