The iQOO 5 series will be released this month. The phone will have many anticipated features, including a 120W fast charging. It allows users to fully charge the device in 15 minutes. The new poster shows that this series of models will bring powerful performance.

A few days ago, a Weibo user posted a picture showing that the device will have a hole in the upper left corner and will adopt a curved screen design. The source said that this phone uses a Samsung FHD+ screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Compared with the iQOO 3 with a flat AMOLED screen and a 60Hz refresh rate, this new machine is undoubtedly more pleasing to the eye.

The manufacturer has confirmed that the iQOO 5 series will come with the Snapdragon 865 processor instead of the Snapdragon 865 Plus. It will also use LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The official posters show that the 120W ultra-fast flash charging adopts dual charge pump technology, and the charging conversion rate is ≥98.5%. It comes with a dual 6C cell, a 6C high rated capacity multiplier cell, larger current support, low resistance, and high conversion. Heat production is further reduced. With a multi-array tab technology, the cell impedance is reduced. The charging conversion efficiency is improved, and the source controls the battery heating. The charger has a built-in dual temperature sensor module, and the temperature information is transmitted to the smartphone in real time. According to this, the smartphone precisely controls the charging power, making charging fast and calm.

iQOO 5 Key Features

In addition, the iQOO 5 is the first 120W fast-charging smartphone certified by TUV Rheinland for safe fast charging. The charger supports up to 65W PD fast charging. It can be used for devices compatible with PD fast charging protocols, such as laptops, game consoles, cameras, etc. It supports 100V-240V wide voltage input. In peak power consumption, insufficient power supply, or non-220V countries and regions, the charger can support up to 120W output.

The iQOO5 series will be divided into three versions. The iQOO 5 Pro + will sport a 120W fast charging and a 120Hz curved screen. The iQOO 5 series conference is scheduled to take place on August 17.
