Last year, VIVO adopted the dual-brand strategy and announced the iQOO brand. It’s been known as a ‘flagship-killer’ brand. During this period of its existence, we have seen a dozen of really amazing handsets. But what is more interesting, it has officially become a partner of BMW M Motorsport for the 2020 DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) season.

iQOO brand and BMW

In fact, BBK Electronics’ brands are well-known for sponsoring a variety of sporting events for marketing. This group includes VIVO, OPPO, and OnePlus. In this regard, VIVO was one of the most active member. Say, it was the title sponsor of IPL (Indian Premier League), a popular cricket league in the country from 2015. And though everything has been going quite well, it has to cancel the partnership for the 2020 season due to rising tensions between India and China. VIVO has had to stop its partnership with the NBA last year due to the Hong Kong protests. But VIVO still continues to sponsor FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In other words, the main brand, VIVO has lost sponsorships for two of the most popular sporting events within a year. But its sub-brand iQOO signs its first-ever sponsorship for an international sporting event.

However, you should understand this partnership with BMW M Motorsport is only for the 2020 DTM league. In the future, we don’t know whether these two will cooperate or not. On this occasion, the brand may launch a limited edition iQOO 5 smartphone scheduled to launch on August 17. As a reminder, we are talking about the first phone in the globe supporting 120W fast charging.

Back in 2010, he was dismissed from his position as a lecturer at the university. This made him get another job at his friend’s digital marketing company as a blog writer. After a few years, when he was thinking the article writing is his mission, Google pushed the Panda update and affected the company and websites he was working at. (Un)fortunately and surprisingly, he got an offer to head a large knitting factory. In 2016, he got his Ph.D. and resumed teaching at the University … and writing tech-related articles following his passion.
