iQOO has officially launched its affordable iQOO U1X smartphone in China today. The device was first spotted by MySmartPrice and gave us a peek into its specifications. The iQOO U1X is an entry-level smartphone with a Snapdragon 662 processor, a large 5,000mAh battery, and a triple rear camera setup. The company has a great track record when it comes to flagship devices. Let’s find out if its low-end device follows the same footprint.
iQOO U1X: Specifications
Under the hood, the iQOO U1X is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, which is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage (UFS 2.1). Although its a new device, the iQOO U1X boots Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house iQOO UI skin on top of it. As for its battery, the device draws its power from a 5000mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging over a micro-USB charging port. However, one of the most disappointing aspects of this device is the inclusion of the micro-USB port.
The iQOO U1X houses a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels, a pixel density of 269ppi, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. On the top, the selfie camera resides under the waterdrop notch. The device measures 164.41mm×76.32mm×8.41mm and weigh in at 192.3 grams.
Coming to optics, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP tertiary camera with f/2.4 aperture. Whereas at the front, an 8MP camera is provided for selfies.
Additional features include the side fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc.
Pricing and availability
The iQOO U1X is launched with two colour variants – Black and Silver. It is available in three variants:
- 4GB+64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899
- 6GB+64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 999
- 6GB+128GB storage variant is priced at 1,199.
