LG has been on a roll ever since it unveiled the new LG Wing Smartphone and their well-received LG Velvet series. They have been sidelined from the smartphone segment for a few years due to their lacklustre devices and increasing saturation of Chinese brands. None the less LG has been teasing its new Q series smartphone i.e. the LG Q52 for quite some time now. Finally, the latest mid-range smartphone has gone official in South Korea. The smartphone is equipped with dependable specs and comes with an interesting price tag. The device will go for sale in South Korea starting from October 28.

LG Q52: Specifications
When it comes to pleasing the customers in the midrange segment, a brand has to be spot on with its SoC, the same can’t be said for the LG Q52 smartphone. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which is considered as a budget-oriented SoC. Better alternatives are offered by Chinese counterparts in this segment. It gets to be paired with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Luckily they included the option to expand the memory via microSD card. On the plus side, the device gets to run on a cleaner skinned LG UX which is based on Android 10.
According to its pricing, the device too somehow falls short with its display as its houses a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display. On top of the display, there’s a punch hole cut out which houses the 13MP camera for selfies. Whereas for the rear, the device house a quad-cameras setup with a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Surprisingly, it appears that the device might have a unique selling point with the cameras.
Connectivity options include the likes of 4G VoLTE, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS and Micro-USB port. It additionally includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The device draws its power from a 4000mAh battery which has a MIL-STD-810G certification for durability. Sadly the company didn’t specify about fast charging.
Pricing and availability
The LG Q52 is available in two colour variants – Silky White and Silky Red. As for its pricing, it will be available for KRW 330,000 (approximately ₹21,500/$292/€240). The phone can be found at LG Korea’s website, as well as the various online and offline retailer throughout the country. Although the company hasn’t spoken anything regarding the global launch for the device. However, it could bring the smartphone to two major smartphone markets i.e. China and India.
The LG Wing smartphone will be launched in India on the 28th of October. The smartphone features a swivelling 6.8-inch FHD+ pOLED primary display and a 3.9-inch secondary G-OLED display. Other features include the Snapdragon 765G SoC, 64MP triple-camera setup and a 32MP front camera for selfies.
