Dimensity 1000+

MediaTek held an online media technology communication meeting on May 7. At the conference, the Taiwanese chip-makers released the enhanced version of the Dimensity 1000 series, namely the Dimensity 1000+.

MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ will power the next-generation 5G devices with improved refresh rates. It will bring a smoother viewing experience and faster 5G networking. The new chipset houses 5G UltraSave technology to efficiently and effectively save battery consumption when using faster bandwidths. It throttles between different networks and automatically adjusts the mode of the modem.

After the release, Li Yanji, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek Wireless Communication Division, Li Junnan, Technical Planning Director of MediaTek Wireless Communication Division, and Nian Yucun, Product Marketing Department Manager of MediaTek Wireless Communication Division, accepted the online interview with media. In the interview, they not only answered the questions that everyone is concerned about but also provided an in-depth analysis of the issues existing in the industry.

In response to the question that ‘the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will be released ahead of time and how MediaTek is progressing,’ Li Yanji said that MediaTek will not be absent. He also added that they will have products coming out at an appropriate time.

Will The Dimensity 1000+ Make A Competition To The Snapdragon 875?

In addition, Li Yanji was asked ‘Whether the price cut of Qualcomm’s mid-range 5G smartphones has an impact on MediaTek’. He said that market competition will always exist, and price competition will always exist.

‘What we can do is to launch 5G chips that are more competitive, have more performance advantages, and have more power consumption advantages than other competitors. In this market, we can be recognized by our partners. The market continues to develop, and competition will never stop. I think MediaTek is fully prepared.’

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ will debut along with the iQOO new flagship device which is coming soon. Unfortunately, no more details about the upcoming smartphone are not yet revealed.
