Two new products have surfaced on the National Intellectual Property Office (CNIPA) from Meizu. The Chinese brand has registered patents for a Smartwatch along with a TWS headphone. The company hasn’t launched any smartwatch in recent times. This could be the one as per the patents. Other than that, the new patent for the TWS headphone looks almost similar to the Meizu Pop Pro TWS which was launched earlier this month.

According to the document on CNIPA, the application number for the Smartwatch is 202030536412.3 and states that the patent was applied on October 9, 2020. Whereas the application number for the TWS headphone is 202030336741 .3 and it was applied back on June 28, 2020. Both of them were finally registered on January 26, 2021.

Speaking about the Smartwatch, they are patented in two colour – Black and Blue. The wearables look awfully similar to the Apple Watch and the first-generation Mi Watch. Meizu has kept the bezels at bay with negligible borders. As per the pictures, the strap will be made of silicon. Talking about button placement, the power button is located on the right-hand side.

The device might run on “Flyme For Watch” out of the box which is a customised UI from Meizu. However, an AMOLED display can be expected from the device. Additional features such as heart rate tracking, SpO2 level measurement, etc can be present in the device. For connectivity, the device is expected to support at least LTE connectivity support via a SIM card slot or an eSIM. Other than this, the document doesn’t come with any information about the Smartwatch’s specification. More can be known in upcoming days.

As for the TWS headphone patent, it looks somewhat similar to the Meizu Pop Pro TWS which was launched in China earlier this month. The Meizu Pop Pro TWS came with intelligent call noise reduction algorithm to suppress the external noise with the help of three separate microphones. Additionally, the Meizu Pop Pro TWS also includes features such as ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), a 20 hours battery life, a 20 hours battery life, etc.

For the patent, the document hasn’t revealed any features whatsoever. We expect that the upcoming TWS will either come will additional features or be a lite variant of the Meizu Pop Pro TWS. The company is yet to shed the light on the device.

Upcoming device

As for its display, it might feature an FHD+ with 120Hz refresh rate. The company is yet to reveal the specifications, more can be known in upcoming days.
