HMD Global’s Nokia is making some waves recently. Last week, the company claimed that the company is taking India seriously and plans to launch affordable 5G smartphones this year. Earlier, HMD Global has officially launched Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 5.4 smartphones. Although, these two devices were previously launched in the European market last year.

Nokia 3.4: Specifications

Under its hood, the Nokia 3.4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The storage can further be upgraded via a MicroSD card slot which supports up to 512GB. It runs on a cleaner version of Android 10 out of the box and will get the Android 11 update soon.

Moving towards the front, the device flaunts a generic 6.39” HD+ LCD display with a punch hole at the top left corner. It has a display ratio of 19.5:9. The front camera has an 8 MP lens. Whereas at the back, it houses a circular camera setup, which has three cameras along with an LED flash. It has a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor.

In addition, the device features a dedicated Google Assistant Button, an USB Type-C port, Dual SIM support, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer (G-sensor), Gyroscope, Biometric face unlock, Rear fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack and FM radio. Connectivity-wise it supports VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/AGPS+GLONASS+BDS+Galileo.

The device measures 160.97 x 75.99 x 8.7 mm and weighs just 180g. It draws its power from a dependable 4000mAh battery which supports 5W charging.

At its core, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. It is paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 64GB internal storage. Similar to its sibling, it also comes with an optional MicroSD card slot. It too runs on Android 10 out of the box. Considering that both of these devices are under Android One banner, they could have been shipped with Android 11.

The display remains unchanged as it supports a similar 6.39” HD+ LCD display with a punch hole. It has a display ratio of 19.5:9. At the rear, the device has a quad-camera setup which includes a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP Macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, at the front, a 16MP resides under the punch hole.

Similarly, this device includes a dedicated Google Assistant Button, an USB Type-C port, Dual SIM support, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer (G-sensor), Gyroscope, Biometric face unlock, Rear fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack and FM radio. Pricing and Availability

The Nokia 3.4 comes with Fjord, Dusk, Charcoal colour options. It is priced at ₹11,999 for its lone 4GB+64GB variant. The smartphone will be available from February 20 and it will be sold via Amazon and later reach the leading retail outlets.

On the other hand, Nokia 5.4 comes in Polar Night, Dusk colour options. It is priced at ₹13,999 for its 4GB+64GB variant and ₹15,499 for its 6GB+64GB variant. The device will be available from February 17 onwards via Flipkart and Nokia’s official website.

Other than the smartphones, HMD Global has also introduced the Nokia Power Earbuds Lite which is priced at ₹3,599. It will also be available from February 17 onwards but on Amazon India and Nokia’s website.
