Although one of the best devices you can get right now, not many OnePlus fans were satisfied with the latest OnePlus 8 Series. Cause they weren’t expecting flagship territory pricing from the company. To fill the gap left in the budget segment, there is enough evidence of OnePlus working on OnePlus Z, which should be a more bang for the buck device.
Must See: OnePlus Z 5G with flat display launching in July 2020
Now, alleged OnePlus Z hands-on image has surfaced online revealing the design and yet another live proof of its existence. Courtesy to the image by a source known as TrueTech, OnePlus Z or previously referred to as OnePlus 8 Lite should flaunt a punch-hole, flat panel display.
The front view of the OnePlus Z is strikingly similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite. With a slightly boxy design and centred punch-hole camera, the device bezels are thin and uniform around the sides and top but the bottom. OnePlus Z seems to employ optical in-screen fingerprint sensor similar to the recent OnePlus devices.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Processor Onboard
While the exact specifications of the device are yet to be out, the leaks have it that the device will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset. The MediaTek Dimensity 1000, in case, if you’re unaware, features integrated 5G NR (Sub-6GHz) modem that’s capable of Carrier Aggregation, giving it up to 4.7Gbps performance.
With the powerful 4x ARM Cortex-A77 @2.6GHz of the Dimensity 1000, the OnePlus should deliver a good performance. The chip features 4x ARM Cortex-A55 efficient cores and
9 core Mali-G77 GPU for processing graphical intense resources. By employing the MediaTek SoC instead of a Qualcomm counterpart, OnePlus can cut the cost by a considerable margin.
If everything goes accordingly, OnePlus is supposed to unveil the device in July this year. As of the pricing, we expect it not to exceed the $500 mark.
