Earlier in April 2022, OPPO launched the OPPO A57 5G smartphone. It came with the Dimensity 810 SoC to support the 5G networks. OPPO has launched an affordable variant of the device which supports only 4G. The new device has been launched in the Thailand market. Apart from the chipsets, there are many differences between the devices. The differences between the devices lie in refresh rate, charging speed, and other aspects. OPPO A57 4G Specifications!
The OPPO A57 4G gets a 6.56 inches LCD display with an HD+ resolution. It now gets a 60Hz refresh rate instead of 90Hz. Underneath, it packs the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. It is a basic chipset and is built on the 12nm process. The chipset pairs with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The RAM of the device can be expanded via Virtual RAM. Similarly, the storage can also be expanded via a microSD card slot of 1TB. The good thing is that the device runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
The OPPO A57 4G gets a dual-camera setup to the rear on the optics side. It gets a primary 13MP sensor which pairs with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it features an 8MP sensor. OPPO has got the IP54 rating for the device. It also gets Dirac 3.0 certification, USB-type C and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device will be available in two colour options to choose from. Glowing Black and Glowing Green are those colour options.
All this is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 22W fast charging tech. On the biometric front, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. There is a difference in design between the 4G and 5G devices. The 4G variant has a slightly different design to the rear. It also adopts the OPPO Glow design. The smartphone currently sells for 5,499 Thai Baht (about 1,080 Yuan / $ 160) in Thailand. But you can get it for as low as 4,999 Thai Baht (about 980 Yuan / $ 135) if you pre-order through online retailers. It is still a mystery whether OPPO will launch the device in other markets.
