Oppo launched Oppo A72 5G smartphone featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC. It is the 5G variant of the Oppo A72 smartphone, while the Oppo A72 4G houses Snapdragon 665 chipset. Other specifications of both smartphones are same including a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD, a 90Hz panel and a non-5G variants 60Hz screen.
In the camera department, Oppo A72 comes with a quad triple-camera module on the rear with 16-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s an 8-megapixel front sensor for selfies and video calling. The camera configuration of the 5G model is different from the Oppo A72 which was launched a while ago with quad-rear 48-megapixel primary camera and a 16-megapixel front shooter.
Oppo A72 houses a 4040 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The smartphone runs ANdrodi 10-based COlorOS 7.2 and supports Dirac 2.0 protocol. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack. Oppo A72 5G is available in single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant for the price of 1899 Yuan which roughly translates to $270.
You can pre-order Oppo A72 via its official website in China while the sales will begin on July 31.
