OPPO has been known as a traditional smartphone maker. But all top companies specializing in this field have already understood smartphones are not the future of interaction. We mean even Huawei and its sub-brand Honor have announced larger screen products are going to replace the functions smartphones usually do. On the other hand, people can’t carry large-screen devices with them. So for all other cases, smart wearables are going to take some functions of TVs on them. In this sense, much-affordable smart bands are the best choice. And though OPPO has already launched its smartband and it has got a Bluetooth SIG certification, indicating a global launch.

OPPO band

The Bluetooth SIG document reveals that it is using a Cortex-M4 Processor @ 96 MHz clocking speed and supports Bluetooth 5.0. It is already launched in China, and slated for launch in Malaysia on June 11.

The certification document confirms the new OPPO band comes with a 1.09-inch AMOLED screen. The pixel density is 296*126. At last, it is packed with a 100mAh battery.

As far as the Oppo Band China version is concerned, it comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display in a pill-shaped body. The display is covered with a 2.5D scratch-resistant glass and covers 100% of the P3 color gamut. This ensures an accurate color reproduction. At the same time, this model was packed with a 100mAh battery which is rated for 14 days of use on a single charge and can be topped up in just 1.5 hours. There are three different variants of the Oppo Band.

There are hardly any changes, and we expect the global launch from the next week starting with Malaysia.

After a few years, when he was thinking the article writing is his mission, Google pushed the Panda update and affected the company and websites he was working at. (Un)fortunately and surprisingly, he got an offer to head a large knitting factory. In 2016, he got his Ph.D. and resumed teaching at the University … and writing tech-related articles following his passion.
