Oppo F17 and F17 Pro are officially launched in India and act as successors to the Oppo F15 series which was launched back in January this year. The phones have been improved in various departments. The Oppo F17 Pro was showcased to the world in the launch event and touted to be the slimmest as well as the lightest in the current price range. Both the devices come with an in-display fingerprint scanner under its display and have a dual SIM support.

Oppo F17 Specifications
The Oppo F17 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset running on Color OS 7.2 based on Android 10. It is packed with a 3920/4015mAh (Min/Typ) battery which supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. Importantly, the device is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and gets 64GB and 128GB of internal storage options and can also be expanded via microSD card.
On the front, Oppo has managed to update its design this time dropping the notch which was present in F15, and went with a single punch hole camera. Coming to its display, it has a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate sampling and 409 PPI.
Talking about cameras, it has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 16MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens, a 2MP monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Whereas, it offers a 16MP selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.0 lens.
Additionally, the connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. It has 7.45mm of thickness and 163 grams of weight.
Oppo F17 Pro Specifications
The Oppo F17 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm MediaTek Helio P95 chipset running on Color OS 7.2 based on Android 10. It is similarly packed with a 3920/4015mAh (Min/Typ) battery which supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. The device only gets an 8GB + 128GB storage variant, unlike F17.
Similarly, the display too remains the same with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate sampling and 409 PPI.
Coming to cameras, it retains a similar quad-camera setup at the back, but gets a 48MP primary sensor, along with an f/1.8 lens. The camera setup also includes an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens, a 2MP monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2MP portrait sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Whereas, the front cameras get a bump too with a dual-camera setup as it gets a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor with each of them having an f/2.4 lens on top.
Just like the Oppo F17, this device too gets connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Similar 7.45mm of thickness and weighs the same at 163 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Oppo F17 Pro will be available in three colors – Magic Black, Magic Blue, and Metallic White. Its only variant i.e. the one with 8GB + 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 22,990. It will go on sale starting from the 7th of September with pre-orders from today onwards.
Whereas, the Oppo F17 will also be available in three colors – Navy Blue, Classic Silver, and Dynamic Orange. but it will get more storage variants with 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB. Although, the F17’s pricing hasn’t been disclosed in the event as well as its availability.
