Oppo has been launching smartphones with new colour variants especially meant for the Indian audience in recent times. Firstly it was the OPPO F17 Pro Galactic Blue Edition which was launched last month just at the beginning of IPL 2020. They roped in MS Dhoni for this particular colour variant. Secondly, a new Diwali Edition of the OPPO F17 Pro was launched earlier today. The device is ₹1,000 more than the standard variant. However, to justify the slight increase in pricing, they provided a gift box along with it.

Oppo F17 Pro Diwali Edition: Specifications
Specifications remain the same throughout. Only changes it brings are the colour variant and the slight increase in its pricing.
The Oppo F17 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 chipset running on Color OS 7.2 based on Android 10. It is similarly packed with a 3920/4015mAh (Min/Typ) battery which supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. The device only gets an 8GB + 128GB storage variant.
Similarly, the display too remains the same with a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate sampling and 409 PPI.
Coming to cameras, it retains a similar quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, along with an f/1.8 lens. The camera setup also includes an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens, a 2MP monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2MP portrait sensor with an f/2.4 lens. Whereas, the front cameras get a dual-camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor with each of them having an f/2.4 lens on top.
This device too gets connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Similar 7.45mm of thickness and weighs the same at 163 grams.
Pricing and availability
The OPPO F17 Pro Diwali Edition is priced at ₹23,990 for its lone 8GB+128GB storage variant. This is a thousand rupees more than the ₹22,990 price of the standard variant.
