Well, it’s a long time ago that we have seen any smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard. The era of Nokia N95 and BlackBerry appears to be coming back as the Oppo is going to practically evolve the idea of the physical qwerty keyboard on a smartphone. The company has filed for a patent that will allow the users to use the QWERTY capacitive key.
The smartphone appears to be thick in size and will generally work with thumbs. The keyboard case is permanently attached to the keyboard and a waterdrop display notch encasing the front selfie camera. From the images, it appears a whole mimic of the old BlackBerrys and LG G8X smartphones.
It is not appropriate to think that the Oppo would launch a QWERTY keyboard smartphone in the near future as most of the patents are just for playing with extraordinary ideas.
In case if Oppo successfully launches the QWERTY keyboard smartphone, then it will sell like hotcakes as not all the users are fans of fully touchscreens. Do share your views via the comments below.
