Yesterday, i.e., on June 4, OPPO announced another smartphone in the OPPO Reno8 series. The new device comes as a successor of OPPO Reno 7 Lite and is named OPPO Reno 8 Lite 5G. OPPO has launched the device in the Spain market. The brand has made the device available in a single variant, i.e., 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant. The OPPO Reno8 series was recently unveiled in the Chinese market. It includes Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. The specification of the OPPO Reno8 Lite isn’t identical to the Ren8 series.

The new OPPO Reno8 Lite 5G follows the design and specifications of the OPPO Reno 7 Lite, Aka OPPO Reno 7Z 5G. Recently, OPPO launched another smartphone in the F series. It was the OPPO F21 Pro smartphone, and OPPO launched it in April. The latest OPPO Reno8 Lite 5G also has the same configuration. It is unclear why OPPO has launched the same phone under different names four times. OPPO wants to confuse people with the terms of its devices. The OPPO Reno 8 Lite 5G pricing starts at 429 euros (about 3065 Yuan) in Spain. The smartphone will be available in two color options. The color options to choose from are Cosmic Black and Rainbow Spectrum.

OPPO Reno8 Lite 5G specifications

The OPPO Reno8 Lite 5G equips a 6.43 inches Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, which is built using the 6nm process. The device’s storage can be expanded through a microSD card up to 1TB. It also supports an expansion of RAM. The smartphone runs on ColoOS 12 on top of Android 12 out of the box.

OPPO Reno 8 Lite 5G features a triple-rear camera setup. It comprises a primary 64MP sensor that pairs with a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth of field lens. On the front, it sports the popular 16MP sensor. The smartphone supports a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and IPX4 splash resistance. It has a dimension of 159.9 x 73.2 x 7.5 mm and weighs around 173 grams. On the biometric front, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock. All this is backed by a 4500 mAH battery that supports 33W charging.
