Oppo stunned the tech enthusiasts with the announcement of Oppo X 2021 rollable device a few weeks ago. The device carries a horizontal rollable display. However, a new Oppo X TOM Ford Edition with a vertical rollable display and a triple-camera module is listed on CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration). The patent appears to feature the same technology as that of the Oppo X 2021.

However, a triple camera along with an LED flash is present on the rear side of the smartphone. A dedicated button to toggle rollable display is present on the rear side. The compact form factor of the device will allow the users to carry it in a pocket with ease. The gold-coloured cling on either side of the phone might allow the user to hang it like a pendant.
We can see the text inscribed – “Oppo X Tom Ford – Design for concept Shakira” on the rear-camera module along with an LED flash. The grey coloured rear-shell appears to be hosting all the rollable display mechanism.
The smartphone looks carrying metal frame which will improve the overall build quality. However, it would be interesting to know the weight of the device. The front camera appears to be hidden under display or not present.
Oppo X Tom Ford Edition gets retracted about 70% per cent in size upon toggling the rollable display. However, Tom Ford is an American fashion designer and film producer.
It would be interesting to see the pricing of the smartphone. It appears to come with a premium price tag as if we go as per the design. Stay connected with us for more!
