POCO has introduced its all-new POCO X3 Pro in India earlier today. The smartphone was globally unveiled only a week ago. However, the company made sure of the hype for the device before the arrival and it didn’t disappoint. Looking at the device, it is aimed towards people looking out for a powerful device at a fraction of cost. It will interesting to see if the Poco X3 Pro can fill the shoes for the Poco F1.

POCO X3 Pro: Specifications

At its core, the Poco X3 Pro is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC while the GPU is Adreno 640. It comes in 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant in India. The company has also used LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage to further attract consumers. The device runs on Android 11 OS and MIUI 12 for POCO.

Moving towards the front, the device flaunts a 6.67″ IPS LCD FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6. Furthermore, the display supports 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate, HDR 10, L1 Widevine Certification, Sunlight Mode, 3.0 Reading Mode, TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, etc. Its brightness maxes out at 450 nits.

For optics, the device used a Quad-camera setup placed inside a circular ring at the rear. It includes a 48MP main camera with f/1.79 Aperture (1.6μm Large Pixel (4 in 1), 6P Lens, AF, FOV: 79 Degree), an 8MP Ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 Aperture (1.0μm Pixel Size, 5P Lens, FF, FOV: 118 Degree), a 2MP Macro camera with f/2.4 Aperture (1.75μm Pixel Size, 3P Lens, FF, FOV: 83 Degree), and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 Aperture (1.75μm Pixel Size, 3P Lens, FF, FOV 83 Degree). Whereas at the front, it uses a 20MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies.

Moreover, the device draws its power from a 5160 mAh battery which supports 33W fast-charging. Talking about its dimensions, the device measures 165.3 x 76.8 x 9.4 mm and it weighs 213 grams.

Additional features include Dual Stereo Speakers with Hi-Res Audio Certification, Dual SIM slot with optional MicroSD card slot, Wi-Fi 5 (2.4GHz | 5GHz), Bluetooth V5, 3.5MM Headphone jack, GNS (GPS/AGPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo), Z-axis Linear Vibration Motor, 2×2 MIMO Support, Face Unlock, LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus, IP53 Splash-proof Protection and Side-Mounted fingerprint scanner. It also includes some important sensors such as Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Electronic Compass, Vibration Motor and IR Blaster.

Pricing and Availability

Poco X3 Pro: Colour variants

The Poco X3 Pro comes in three colour variants – Golden Bronze, Graphite Black, and Steel Blue. As for its pricing, its starts at ₹18,999 (~$260) for its 6 GB RAM + 128 GB variant and ₹20,999 (~$287) for its 8 GB RAM + 128 GB variant. As usual, it will be sold exclusively via Flipkart. The first sale of X3 Pro will commence on April 6 from 12 PM onwards.

Apart from that, customers get an instant discount of ₹1,000 on both variants of the Poco X3 Pro with ICICI Bank credit cards and EMI transactions. Moreover, the Poco X3 also got its price reduced. It is available for ₹14,999 (~$205).
