Here’s The Reason Why The New MacBook Pro Doesn’t Have An SD Card Slot
Recently a shocking thing happened when the all new MacBook Pro 2016 was launched without an SD card slot. At first, nobody noticed that there is no slot for the sd card and then when everyone was just checking the slots they realized that something is missing and there was no slot found for micro sd card.

Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing Phil Schiller stated that:
“Because of a couple of things. One, it’s a bit of a cumbersome slot. You’ve got this thing sticking halfway out. Then there are very fine and fast USB card readers, and then you can use CompactFlash as well as SD.”
Also Said: “So we could never really resolve this – we picked SD because more consumer cameras have SD but you can only pick one. So, that was a bit of a trade-off. And then more and more cameras are starting to build wireless transfer into the camera. That’s proving very useful. So we think there’s a path forward where you can use a physical adapter if you want, or do the wireless transfer.”
Phil Schiller’s point could be right but there are some angry folks out there who disagree with him and there are also some loyal Apple users who just doesn’t think that it was the right decision. The main reason is that mostly all the Pro level cameras use SD card transfer and not everyone can afford those cameras.

Apple needs to think about the problems the customers will go through when they add or remove any feature or anything from the device because of it not what Apple think is always good for business and product. Every customer’s opinion and review matters.
This is not the first time that Apple has disappointed their customers and the market they did in the past when they removed CD/DVD readers from their MacBook in the year 2015, at that time they faced a lot of criticism same thing at this time as well.

Apple has changed many things with the launch of new devices and there are many changes to come in future. But if they don’t value their customer’s priorities then there will be consequences.
