Setting up calls

The Your Phone app will let you make and receive calls from your phone on your PC.

For that, Your Phone app needs to be connected to your Android phone over Bluetooth to make and receive calls on your PC. If your one of the systems doesn’t have Bluetooth, unfortunately, the call feature won’t work but you can make use of other features, however.

Minimum requirements for the calls feature to work in the Your Phone app are;

  • Windows 10 May 2019 (1903) Update on your PC. To check and update your Windows version, on your PC, go to Settings > Updates & Security > Check for update. To confirm you are updated to Windows 10 May 2019 Update, on your PC go to Settings > System > About and check your version number, which should be 1903 or greater, under Windows specifications.
  • A PC with Bluetooth support. An Android phone running Android 7.0 or greater.

Settings on Your PC:

  1. Open the Your Phone app and select Calls.
  2. Select Get Started.
  3. Follow the instructions on your PC.

Settings On your Android phone:

A notification should appear on your phone. Select Allow. You should now be connected for Calls. If you choose not to set up calls during the app setup, you can always turn it on in the Your Phone app settings.

To do this, open the Your Phone app, go to Settings, and under Calls, turn on the toggle for Allow this app to make and manage calls from Your Phone.

Note: Calls feature is currently not available on PCs with “Windows on ARM” processors. Please find more information on this processor here.

Initiate A Call from PC

Launch the Your Phone app and select Calls. To initiate a new call: Enter a number from the dial pad or search for a contact name or number synced from your smartphone in the search field above the dial pad. Click on the dial icon. The call should get processed via your phone but everything can be controlled from PC without the need to touch the phone.

We hope you’ve successfully set-up the call. In case if you need assistance do let us know down in the comments.
