The new Redmi 5G smartphone with a model M2004J7AC has appeared on GeekBench, with a single-core running score of 644 and a multi-core running score of 2156. The benchmark website’s document also shows it is running an Android 10-based operating system. Also, this handset comes with an octa-core MediaTek MT6875 processor and an 8GB RAM. (Of course, this doesn’t mean we won’t see other storage options.)
Yesterday, when the alleged Redmi 5G machine entered the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we learned some features that this handset will come with. Say, it shows that there are a few memory combinations of 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB / 8GB + 128GB / 256GB options.
According to one of the bloggers, the newly-leaked Redmi 5G new machine will use a 6.57-inch 2400 × 1080 OLED screen. Apart from this, it will also adopt a 16-megapixel front and a 48-megapixel main camera solution. There is a built-in 4420mAh battery, which also support 22.5W / 33W fast charge.
However, the most interesting feature is the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip that will be hosted by the phone. Dimensity 820 will be better in terms of performance compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 800. The latter was launched earlier this year. It is a 7nm octa-core processor that comprises of four Cortex A76 cores clocking at 2.0GHz and four Cortex A55 cores working at 2.0GHz. This chip also comes with a Mali-G77MC4 GPU and also comes with its own HyperEngine gaming technology. Of course, it supports for Full HD+ screen resolution with up to 90Hz refresh rate.
The chip can support up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM as well as voice and data over 5G. There is a support for global sub-6GHz 5G networks and promises up to 3.5Gbps download speeds and up to 1.25Gbps upload speeds.
