A new Redmi smartphone will hit the market on August 4. Today, Redmi India informed about this via its Twitter account. The company says the Indian variant of the Redmi 9 will come with the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor. In its turn, this chip will be coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and up to 64GB of onboard storage. The first wave of sale will be a part of the Amazon Prime Day on August 6.

Redmi 9 India

As a reference, the Redmi 9 was uncovered in China in June. It came with a quad-camera on the back, a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core chipset, and a large 5,020mAh battery. The Indian variant of the Redmi 9 will come with similar specifications just like its Chinese counterpart.

Apart from this, we are expecting the same 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop design. The resolution should be 1,080 x 2,340. The phone will also come with a Corning Glass 3 screen protection.

The camera module will consist of a 13-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide secondary sensor, while the other two should be a 5-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the opposite side, there will be an 8-megapixel front camera.

In terms of connectivity, the Redmi 9 will sport G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi Direct, FM Radio, NFC, GPS, AGPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and infrared sensor. We should also point out an AI-powered Face Unlock feature, alongside a fingerprint sensor placed on the back.

Back in 2010, he was dismissed from his position as a lecturer at the university. This made him get another job at his friend’s digital marketing company as a blog writer. After a few years, when he was thinking the article writing is his mission, Google pushed the Panda update and affected the company and websites he was working at. (Un)fortunately and surprisingly, he got an offer to head a large knitting factory. In 2016, he got his Ph.D. and resumed teaching at the University … and writing tech-related articles following his passion.
