Lazada, one of the popular online retailer in Philippines has inadvertently or advertently jumped into the gun and listed the Redmi 9. Though the listing has a fair amount of discrepancies, thanks to the lively looking promo material infographics, we’ve almost all the specs needed to know about the device.
As per the infographics, the Redmi 9 will be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with Mali-G52 GPU. It has a 6.53″ FHD+ LCD Display with waterdrop notch or what Redmi says as a Dot Notch display. A quad-camera resides at the rear with the main sensor being of 13MP. It’s accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensor.
There will be two storage variants of the Redmi 9 under the hood and has two memory versions – 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. The device has dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion. Also, the device will be available in three different colour options.
As of the battery, it packs a 5,020 mAh battery which supports up to 18W fast charging via USB Type-C port. Other highlights include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, AI Face Unlock, IR Blaster, dual SIM support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack!
Price Starts at PHP6,990 (~140)
The 3GB/32GB version is priced at PHP6,990 ($140) on the Lazada website. While the 4GB/64GB at PHP7,490 ($150). It’s pertinent to mention here the pricing can vary from country to country.
