Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C

Last week, Xiaomi’s independent brand Redmi released a new entry-level smartphone the Redmi 9 in China. Its starting price is 799 yuan ($113). Today, Xiaomi Malaysia officially announced two new machines in face of the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C. However, this is not surprising because previously this manufacturer has launched similar models as well.

Anyways, Xiaomi said that the Redmi 9A and the Redmi 9C will be officially released in Malaysia on June 30. Both phones come with a large battery and a large screen. And from the promo teaser, we can see that it still uses a water drop screen design. The border is not very narrow. Other details are not provided at the moment.

Prior to this, a model of Xiaomi M2006C3LG smartphone passed the certification of the United States FCC, Thailand NBTC, and other institutions. It is suspected to be the Redmi 9A. Those documents showed that the phone sports a 4900mAh battery, a 10W charger, pre-installed MIUI 12 operating system, supports dual-card 4G connectivity, and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

In the era of the Redmi 8 series, Xiaomi first released the Redmi 8A in overseas markets such as India, and then returned to the Chinese market. At a price of only 699 yuan ($99), it also derived models such as the Redmi 8A Pro and Redmi 8A Dual.

According to official data, as of June 21, global shipments of the Redmi 8 series have exceeded the 19 million mark.

And as for the latest Redmi 9, it features a 6.53-inch Full HD water drop screen, MediaTek Helio G80 processor, 4GB/6GB memory, 64GB/128GB storage, 13-megapixel rear quad-camera, 5020mAh battery and 18W fast charge, dual-band Wi-Fi, and many more. The 4GB+64GB is 799 yuan, 4GB+128GB is 999 yuan ($141), and 6GB+128GB is 1199 yuan ($169).
