The smartphone maker – Redmi has presented its first Fitness Band at an event in China. The crowdfunded product is priced at Y95 Yuan ($13) from 10 AM on April 9 in China but will retail for 99 Yuan ($14). It houses various astonishing features that will compete fiercely against Xiaomi and Honor’s fitness bands.
Venturing into the Smart Fitness Wearable market, Redmi wants its brand to compete against all the primary players in the smart band market. The recently launched Realme Band features a 1.08-inch display with a rectangular color display.
Redmi Fitness Band supports direct USB charging and the company claims a 14-day battery life per full charge. Fitness tracking comes with 5 sports modes. The user can monitor heart rates during workouts or throughout the day via its optical heart rate sensor. To help users’ achieve their sleep goals, it supports sleep monitoring. Apart from the standard black color, the users can choose between three different colors of orange, olive green, and blue.
However, the only drawback is the absence of NFC for contactless payments, which is available on its parent company – Xiaomi’s Mi Band 4.
