Xiaomi India has officially launched its much-awaited Redmi Note 10 Series in India. The series was hyped for several months by the company. But they kept a close lid on its specification and its pricing. The series includes the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The newly launched smartphones will be successors to last years Redmi Note 9 series launched last year.

Redmi Note 10 Series

The Redmi Note 10 Series has received numerous updates. Firstly, they introduced the all-new Evol design. The company has gotten rid of the Aura design this time around. Secondly, they have bumped up the performance with the new Snapdragon 732G and Snapdragon 678 Chipsets. Third and most importantly, all three devices in the series come with a Super AMOLED display, with the top two variants getting 120Hz refresh rates. In addition, the company has also managed to make the devices thinner and lighter than its predecessors.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max:  Specifications

At its core, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC. It is only the second device after Poco X3 to come with the same chipset. The device is paired with up to 8GB LPDDRX4 RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. It can further be upgraded via a MicroSD card slot. On the software part, it will run on MIUI 12 out of the box which is based on Android 11. The company also claims that this will be one of the first devices to receive the new and polished MIUI 12.5.

Now talking about the display, this is where they have made a drastic difference from their predecessors and the devices available in the market as well. It houses an amazing 6.67″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has one of the highest brightness i.e. 1200nits which is similar to the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. The display also comes with 2400 x 1080 resolution, HDR 10 support as well as a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Coming to its camera, it features a quad-camera setup at its rear. It is worth mentioning that its camera module is deeply inspired by the Mi 11 smartphone which was launched recently as well. It will house a superiors 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 camera as its primary sensor with 0.7μm, f/1.9, 9 in 1 Super Pixel and 6P. This is the only device with this piece of hardware at this price segment, the only device close to it is the Mi 10i. For its secondary camera, it has an 8MP ultra-wide lens with FOV 118°, a 5MP telemacro lens that supports 2X zoom and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, at the front, it gets a 16MP camera for selfies which is embedded under one of the smallest punch hole i.e 2.96mm.

In addition, the camera software has options such as Night Mode 2.0, Magic Clone Mode, Vlog Mode, Long Exposure Mode, Video Pro Mode, Dual Video Mode, 4K recording at 30fps etc.

The device is also backed by a huge 5020mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It also comes packed with a 360˚ Ambient Light Sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, IR Blaster and 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front.

Other features include the likes of Z-Axis vibration motor, Dual Stereo Speakers which support Hi-Res audio, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, Dual 4G SIM support, 4G VoLTE support, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, E Compass, and Gyroscope.

The device has a thickness of 8.1mm and weighs merely 192gm.

Redmi Note 10 Pro: Specifications

At its core, it is powered by the same Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC. It is paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS2.2 internal storage. The storage can further be upgraded via a MicroSD card slot. It also runs on MIUI 12 out of the box which is based on Android 11.

Moving towards the front, it houses the same 6.67″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the display also comes with 2400 x 1080 resolution, HDR 10 support, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and the same 1200 nits of brightness.

The only differentiating factor between the Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max is the camera. It retains the quad-camera setup and the same design as the Note 10 Pro Max. But the Note 10 Pro variant gets a 64MP Samsung GW3 sensor as its primary camera (0.7μm, f/1.9, 4 in 1 Super Pixel, 6P), an 8MP Ultra-wide angle Camera with FOV 118°, a 5MP Telemacro lens with 2X Zoom, and a 2Mp depth sensor. Whereas the front camera is retained with the same 16MP lens. The Note 10 Pro also has options such as Night Mode 2.0, Magic Clone Mode, Vlog Mode, Long Exposure Mode, Video Pro Mode, Dual Video Mode, 4K recording at 30fps etc.

For protection, the device is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the front.

For optics, the device houses a quad-camera setup at the rear. It has a 48MP Sony IMX582 as its Primary Camera (1/2″, 0.8μm, f/1.79), an 8MP IMX355 Ultra-wide angle Camera (1/4″, 1.12μm, f/2.2), a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 2MP Macro camera. Whereas at the front, it has a 13MP camera for selfies.

The Redmi Note 10 is available in three colour variants – Shadow Black, Frost White and Aqua Green.

Whereas, both the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro available in three similar colour variants – Dark Knight, Vintage Bronze and Glacial Blue.

As for its pricing, The Redmi Note 10 starts at ₹11,999 for its 4GB+64GB variant and ₹13,999 for its 6GB+128GB variant. It will start selling from March 16 onwards via Amazon, Mi.com and other major offline retailers. Customers will get flat ₹500 instant discounts using ICICI Bank Credit Card and EMI.

While the Redmi Note 10 Pro starts at ₹15,999 for its 6GB + 64GB variant, ₹16,999 for its 6GB + 128GB and ₹18,999 for its 8GB + 128GB variant. Lastly, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max starts at ₹18,999 for its 6GB + 64GB variant, ₹19,999 for its 6GB + 128GB variant and ₹21,999 for its 8GB + 128GB.
