After the launch of Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max, the company unveiled the third smartphone in Note 9 series – Redmi Note 9.  It is an affordable smartphone featuring MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 6GB RAM, 6.53-inch display, quad-rear camera and 5020 mAh battery. It is available in two storage variants of 3GB RAM + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB storage variants for the price of Rs 11,999 and Rs 13,499. Another 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variants is available for Rs 14,999.

Redmi Note 9 Specifications

Redmi Note 9 houses a 6.53-inch Dot Display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 from usual falls. The smartphone carries a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC which is coupled with 6GB RAM and 64/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

A quad-rear camera with 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 primary sensor is present for quality photos. Other camera sensors consist of an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calling.

In connectivity, the Redmi Note 9 offers a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is present at the rear side offering easy accessibility.

Redmi Note 9 houses a 5020 mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging technology. A 9W reverse charging is supported and measures 162.3×77.2×8.9mm.

Redmi Note 9 is available in three different variants with varying prices.

  • 4GB RAM + 64GB – Rs. 11,999 (~$153)
  • 4GB RAM + 128GB –  Rs. 13,499 (~$180)
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB –  Rs. 14,999 (~$192)

It will start retailing from Jul 24 via Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
