Folding Solution

We can see that the folding technology of this new Xiaomi foldable smartphone does not adopt the internal folding design of Huawei Mate X2, but chooses the external folding solution. Unlike the inner folding design, the outer folding design smartphone has higher requirements on the screen and craftsmanship. Of course, the experience will be better. The screen size of the machine is 6.2 inches in the folded state, which is similar to that of a traditional smartphone. However, in the unfolded state, the screen size is 9.6 inches and the screen resolution is 2K high-definition pixels. In addition, the machine’s screen uses an OLED foldable screen provided by Samsung, with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen of this new Xiaomi foldable smartphone in the folded state adopts a true full-screen design, without any hardware on the screen, including the front lens. Of course, this does not mean that the camera has been removed. The front and rear camera functions are integrated, which greatly reduces the occupation rate of the internal space of the fuselage, and reserves more for the realization of other features. At the same time, compared with Huawei Mate X2’s internal folding dual-screen design, it has lower power consumption and better battery life.

With over 100MP resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, these functions have extremely high requirements on the configuration. If the performance is not strong enough, it will not be able to drive it. This new Xiaomi foldable smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor chip. The latter integrates a 5G baseband, which supports SA and NSA dual-mode 5G networks. The phone supports 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage space.

On the back of the fuselage, it uses Corning Gorilla Glass to handle the hinges, and the middle frame is made of metal to ensure the quality of the whole machine. In addition, the aircraft sports a 7500mAh battery, which supports 120W super-fast charging, and has superb battery life.
