Samsung Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s

Samsung has officially announced its newest budget-oriented smartphones – Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s. Samsung Galaxy A12 will act as a successor to the Galaxy A11 which was launched in March 2020. Whereas, the Galaxy A02s will succeed Galaxy A01 which was launched back in December 2019. Despite that, the Samsung Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s have some unique selling point of its own such as improved cameras and display.

Samsung Galaxy A12: Specifications

Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which is clocked at 2.3 GHz. The smartphone is coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM. Whereas for storage, it gets 32GB/64GB/128GB variants. Further, you can upgrade the storage via microSD card slot. The Galaxy A12 draws its power from a 5000mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging and runs on Android 10 out of the box.

Moving towards the front, the device flaunts a 6.5″ TFT HD+ infinity-V display with 720 x 1560 pixel resolution. For optics, it has an 8MP camera for selfies. On the hand, it has a square camera module at the back which is composed of a quad-camera setup accompanied by an LED flash. It includes a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Additionally, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and comes with Samsung Knox security platform. It is available in four colour variants – Black, Blue, White and Red.

Other than that, the Galaxy A12 will be available from January 2021. As for its pricing, it will cost €179 for the 64GB variant and  €199  for its 128GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy A02s: Specifications

Under the hood, the device is powered by an aged Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC which is clocked at 1.8GHz. However, the smartphone is only coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GBGB internal storage. Further, you can upgrade the storage via microSD card slot. The Galaxy A02s draws its power from a 5000mAh battery which supports 15W fast charging and runs on Android 10 out of the box.

Moving towards the front, the device flaunts a 6.5″ HD+ Infinity-V display. For optics, it has a 5MP camera for selfies. At the back, it houses a triple camera setup which includes a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor accompanied by an LED flash.

Apart from that, the device will be priced at €150 for its sole 3GB+32GB variant. Its sale will commence from February 2021 onwards.
