In the past few weeks, we heard too much about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. Among them, we also saw some renders and hands-on videos. Now, Roland Quandt has disclosed the configuration details of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
In Europe, the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone will use the unannounced Exynos 2100, and come standard with 12GB of memory and a storage space starting from 128GB. But there will be 256GB and 512GB versions as well. They also support microSD expansion. The version in the US and other regions should be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor.
According to information currently shared by Roland Quandt, the Exynos 2100 includes an ultra-high-performance core with a clock frequency of 2.9GHz, three high-performance cores with an operating frequency of 2.8GHz, and four high-efficiency cores with a clock frequency of 2.4GHz.
It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will sport a 5000mAh battery that supports wireless charging and 45W fast wired charging. However, according to recent reports, the charger is not included in the box.
Samsung smartphones often perform very well in terms of displays, and 2021 is no exception. The Galaxy S21 Ultra will use a huge 6.8-inch AMOLED display with thin bezels and curved edges on both sides. However, these arcs themselves are small and the panel is close to a flat surface. The display supports Quad-HD+ resolution (3200x1440p), the pixel density is 515 pixels/inch, and the brightness can reach an astonishing 1600 nits. In addition, the screen supports LTPO 120Hz variable refresh rate technology. The screen is protected by the seventh-generation Gorilla Glass Victus and also supports S Pen.
Of course, without good software, there can be no good display effects. The Galaxy S21 Ultra should be pre-installed with Android 11 and One UI 3.1.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra measures 165.1×75.6×8.9 mm and weighs 228 grams, which makes it smaller and heavier than the Galaxy S20 Ultra (166.9 x 76 x 8.8 mm, 222 grams).
The real excellence of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is in the camera part. The upgraded 108MP main camera provides optical image stabilization (OIS) and f/1.8 aperture. The 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera supports a 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture, but does not support OIS. There are also LED flash and laser autofocus, as well as a multifunctional zoom system. The latter includes a 10-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera that can achieve 3x hybrid zoom and a 10-megapixel f/4.9 that can achieve 10x hybrid zoom sensor. Both have OIS function. The data of the two sensors can achieve 100x spatial zoom.
In addition, the Galaxy S21 Ultra can record 8K video at 30fps and 4K video at 60fps. The camera has a 40-megapixel resolution.
