Cyberspace has been awash with rumors. Rumors about the impending release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite since mid to late 2019. Now we can confirm that it’s official. The launch comes as a surprise though from Samsung. Full listing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Complete with the device specifications is now available on the Samsung Indonesia Official Online Store. The only information not currently available on the page is the price and release date.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite listing shows a 10.4-inch 2000 x 1200 display. This is a little smaller than the regular Tab S6. This lite version includes an S stylus Pen but without the groove at the back.
The new device has an improved battery at 7040mAh. Which the company says will be able to offer 12 hours of internet browsing. And up to 13 hours of video streaming. We do not yet know about the chipset powering this upcoming device because that information is not disclosed in the listing but earlier leaks have suggested either Exynos 9610 or 9611. There will be 4GB RAM and the option of either 64GB or 128 GB storage expandable to 1TB.
The front camera is 5MP and the back one 8MP. Neither comes anywhere closer to the high-resolution option found in the regular one. That will still be sufficient for video chat needs.
As earlier stated, we’re not aware of the price. The official Indonesian online store doesn’t provide the option to pre-order the tablet either. This means Samsung fans around the world will have to be patient. That’s until the company makes the devices available for purchase. However, the listing proves that the device is real and on the way.
Right now we can only speculate about the price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. However, should it be priced well. There’s no doubt that it will very likely be the highest-selling tablet on Samsung’s tablet line-up. It could easily beat the record set by the Galaxy Tab A series so fingers crossed on that one.
